FAQ
Short answers to common questions.
Does RailFi hold my money?
No. RailFi never holds, receives, or moves money. Your payer sends USDC to a provider account in your own name. See What RailFi does and doesn't do.
What does RailFi cost?
Free while in beta. No card required, no checkout. Provider fees, network fees and FX spread are charged by the provider you choose, under its own terms. See Pricing.
Who is RailFi for?
Contractors paid in USDC who want local currency. RailFi is not EOR / employment payroll.
How fast do I get the side-by-side?
Within 1 business day of sending your corridor and one real invoice.
Is this software or a person?
In the free beta, a person on the RailFi team (not software) works on each invoice you send.
Which networks can I use?
USDC on Ethereum, Polygon PoS, Base, Arbitrum and Solana, where your provider supports them. Not Tron, Bitcoin, or bridged USDC.e. See Networks and wallet addresses.
What if my payer sends on the wrong network?
The money may not arrive and may not be recoverable. RailFi can't reverse a transfer; only your provider can say whether it can be recovered. That's why the network is confirmed twice and a small test send goes first.
Does RailFi tell me when I've been paid?
No. Only you confirm that money arrived in your provider account. RailFi records what you confirm.
Does RailFi do KYC or AML?
No. Your provider runs identity and anti-money-laundering checks. RailFi checks payout addresses against the U.S. Treasury OFAC SDN list on payment links (in beta). See Sanctions screening.
Will RailFi ever ask for my keys or passwords?
Never. We never ask for wallet keys, seed phrases, or bank passwords. If someone does, don't share them and tell us.
Is there a RailFi token?
No. RailFi is not a bank. No token.
Is RailFi's comparison financial advice?
No. Nothing we send is financial, tax, or legal advice. Our comparisons are our best research at the time, not a promise.
